What’s New At Dorney Park For 2017?

Tomorrow, Dorney Park opens for its 134th season. Tonight, season passholders have the chance to preview the park before it opens in the  morning. This year, new rides, new shows, new food and beverage, a new catering pavilion, and new additions to Wildwater Kingdom will great guests as they enter the park this year.

Back by popular demand this year is Dodgem. Located next to Talon, guests can take a crash course in fun. New this year is Kaleidoscope, a circular ride sending guests on a counter-clockwise trip of weightlessness and acceleration. Kaleidoscope will be ready for guests in mid-May.

Parkside Pavilion is opening as the brand new catering facility for a variety of events including corporate, school, and church outings, housing up to 2,000 people. The pavilion will have a chef’s kitchen offering extensive new culinary options. In addition to traditional menu items like fried chicken and hamburgers, specialty themed options like Hawaiian Luau, Fajita Bar, and Taste of Italy are available.

Guests looking for a break from rides can stop by the Good Time Theatre and enjoy Cirque Imagine, a 30-minute live show featuring trampolines, a Cyr wheel, aerialists, and hand balancing bikes. Shows begin June 17th and will run multiple times a day Thursday-Tuesday.

Over in Wildwater Kingdom, seventeen new cabanas have been added bringing the total up to 29. Cabanas offer guests private seating and a chance for relaxation  with cabana-side food and beverage services. Several new dining options are available this year too. Auntie Ann’s will be serving up pretzels and Papa Luigi’s will be serving up fresh-dough pizza made with fresh toppings.

In addition to all the new things around the park this year, Dorney will also host a variety of special events.

  • Food Truck Fridays- May 5, 12, and 19
  • Mother’s Day Brunch- May 13-14
  • Memorial Day Cookout- 27-29
  • Lemonade Days- featuring a Lemon Run 5K
  • Food Truck Rally- August
  • Dollar Days- Labor Day weekend
