Disney Announces Galactic Starcruiser Hotel Opening Date
After being teased in 2019, Star Wars fans have been anxiously awaiting for any details surrounding the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel at Walt Disney World.

The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will offer a two-night itinerary where guests arrive and depart together, (similar to how Disney Cruise Lines operate). But, unlike any typical cruise, you become the heroes of your own Star Wars story in a new type of immersive experience.

Guests will cruise the galaxy in style aboard the Halcyon, known for its impeccable service and exotic destinations. Onboard, YouTube will stay in well-appointed cabins, experience onboard dining, make a planet-side excursion to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, and much more.

Throughout the journey, you will be invited to delve deeper into your personal adventure by participating in onboard activities, interacting with characters, crew, other passengers you meet, and becoming part of the action and the broader Star Wars saga:
- The adventure begins when you arrive at the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal at Walt Disney World and check in for your two-night experience.
- You will be invited to enter a Launch Pod for transport into space. Through windows above, you’ll see yourself leave the real world behind as you jump to hyperspace and draw closer and closer to the Halcyon.

But after all the exciting announcement news, we still didn’t know when the experience would debut…. until today!
This morning, Disney announced that their “out-of-this-world hotel” will open to Guests on March 1, 2022 with reservations starting on October 28, 2021.

The inaugural voyage of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World Resort will depart March, 1, 2022! General bookings for this immersive adventure in a galaxy far, far away will open less than one month from now, on Oct. 28, 2021. Some Disney and Star Wars fans, including Disney Vacation Club members, Disney Passholders and Disney Visa Cardmembers, should be on the lookout in the coming weeks for a special booking opportunity just for you.
“Voyage” rates will depend on your itinerary, the time of year you book your trip, and how many people are staying in your “cabin. In August the company revealed some sample pricing for future adventures.
For example, between Aug. 20 and Sept. 17, 2022, a “trip” on the Chandrila Star Line will cost $4,809 for two guests sharing a cabin, or $1,209 per person, per night.
Three guests (two adults and one child) sharing a cabin would cost $889 per guest, per night or around $5,299 for the full trip.
Four guests per cabin (three adults, one child) costs $5,999 or $749 per guest, per night.
Prices shift based on which cabin you select. There are standard rooms and suites. The stay includes admission to the Hollywood Studios park as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. Guests can travel to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge park from the starcruiser during their stay and will have a voucher for a free quick-service meal at the park as well.

You can see a sample stay with pricing and a sample of a multi day itinerary here.
