Silverwood Adds Stunt Pilot – The Northwest’s First Single Rail Coaster
The secret has been revealed – Silverwood Amusement park, located in Northern Idaho, is getting a new coaster! After weeks of teasing over social media, the park announced it’s first coaster in 7 years.
The park revealed that for the 2021 season, they are building “Stunt Pilot”, the first RMC Raptor style coaster in Northwestern United States. The announcement was made just moments ago via a video post on the park’s Instagram channel!

Themed to airshows that took place in the park’s early days, riders will board specially themed Pitts Special Trains. Riders will then be taken to heights of 105 feet, and twist through nearly 90 degree drops, hairpin turns, and 3 inversions!
Although this model coaster has been installed at various parks, there are notable differences between this installation and the other installations such as RailBlazer at California’s Great America. Instead of the ride having 3 trains with 8 seats (as seen with Railblazer), Stunt Pilot will have two trains with 10 seats allowing for more air time!
The ride will be constructed in between the Timber Terror coaster and the Log Flume. The plot of land was formerly the site of a Halloween attraction during the 2014 season.
The ride is set to open in the spring of 2021. For tickets and more information, visit the official Silverwood website by clicking here.
