Lotte World to Debut the World’s First Double Heart Launch Coaster in 2026
A major announcement took place this morning on the IAAPA Expo show floor as Lotte World Adventure Busan revealed its next big thrill ride. The park is officially partnering with Zamperla to debut the country’s fastest launch coaster in 2026, marking the first installation of Zamperla’s highly anticipated Double Heart model.

The Double Heart instantly stands out for its towering vertical presence and compact footprint. Rising roughly 164 feet into the sky with a layout packed tightly into a space measuring 230 by 70 feet, the design delivers a massive visual impact while fitting into areas many parks would consider too small for a record level attraction. The sleek silhouette is expected to become an unmistakable new icon on the Busan skyline.

Zamperla’s leadership celebrated the milestone, noting that the project arrives during a major anniversary year and reflects the company’s strong momentum in the thrill coaster market. Since the introduction of its updated roller coaster division and the Double Heart concept in 2021, Zamperla has been expanding rapidly, developing cutting edge technology and signing new partnerships with parks around the world. Lotte World Adventure Busan already opened with a collection of Zamperla attractions, making the park a natural home for the company’s newest launch coaster.

The Double Heart belongs to Zamperla’s Triple Launch Family of coasters. Riders accelerate through a series of three launches before racing upward at a top speed of approximately 68 mph. It uses the Lightning train platform which includes wide spacing between rows, next generation restraint systems, and a minimum rider height requirement of 48 inches. These features make it accessible for more families while still delivering a high intensity experience that stands out even among modern launch coasters.
According to Zamperla, the model is designed not only for performance but also for parks looking to add a visually dramatic, social media friendly centerpiece. With its height, its unique forward and backward launch sequence, and a compact footprint that simplifies installation, the Double Heart has quickly become one of the most requested attractions in the company’s thrill portfolio.

Adam Sandy, Zamperla’s Roller Coaster Sales and Marketing Director, added that interest in the model has been strong across the industry. He shared that parks looking for a compact but headline worthy investment have responded quickly to the Double Heart, noting that it delivers a powerful ride experience while also providing the kind of dramatic visuals that stand out online. Sandy explained that the combination of record level stats and a small footprint makes the Double Heart an ideal choice for parks wanting a coaster that markets itself the moment it goes vertical.
