Kings Island Announces Exclusive Season Passholder Preview Day
Mark your calendars coaster fans! Kings Island is inviting all Gold and Platinum Season Passholders to an exclusive park preview Friday, April 14 from 4pm-10pm. This will include rides on the highly anticipated Mystic Timbers wooden roller coaster!
Unlike past years, guests do not have to renew their season pass by any certain date. This event is for all Gold and Platinum passholders (even if your platinum pass was purchased from another Cedar Fair park).
Prepare to feel the presence that will make your senses come alive with excitement for a new season of fun. Find out “What’s in the Shed” on the new Mystic Timbers wooden roller coaster. Enjoy your first rides of the season on favorites like Banshee, The Beast and Diamondback. And don’t forget about all there is to do in the 16-time award-winning Planet Snoopy kids’ area. 2017 will feature an all new wooden roler coaster called Mystic Timbers. (Yes, they still build those and they are amazing and REALLY SMOOTH!) Mystic Timbers will debut as Kings Island’s 16th roller coaster, as well as the parks fourth wooden roller coaster. Themed to an area surrounding a lumber company becoming overrun by a mysterious medusa-like overgrowth of vines as nature reclaims its land, Mystic Timbers will be 3,265 feet in length, reach 109 feet in height and weave along steep cliffs, down ravines, cross over water and go through an extreme S-turn, among a forest of trees, at speeds up to 53 mph. While 53 mph may not sound fast, you have to keep in mind that this is a low to the ground rolling coaster. If this is anything similar to White Lightning in Florida (which GCI also built), it will indeed be very intense.. AND FUN!
