Kentucky Kingdom to Host Inaugural Winter Spectacular: ‘Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom’

In a bid to spread holiday cheer, Kentucky Kingdom, the beloved family theme and water park in Louisville, is gearing up to unveil its first-ever winter extravaganza: ‘Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom.’

Set to captivate visitors with its magical charm, this $8 million investment promises to extend the park’s season by an additional 24 days, offering guests the longest and most enchanting holiday celebration yet.

Scheduled to kick off on November 29, 2024, and run through January 4, 2025, ‘Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom’ aims to transform the park into a wonderland for families to cherish. With over one million twinkling Christmas lights illuminating the pathways, visitors will be greeted with an array of festive delights as they embark on a journey filled with seasonal joy.

Upon entering the park, guests will be transported into a joyful winter wonderland, complete with attractions such as Holly Jolly Junction, where they can indulge in making reindeer food and savoring custom-designed Christmas cookies.

Continuing the festive adventure, Santa’s Village awaits, where the jolly old man himself will be ready to listen to everyone’s holiday wishes. And for those seeking snowy thrills, the Snow Zone offers a frozen paradise featuring Instagrammable iridescent snowflakes and a towering snow tubing hill stretching four stories high and 175 feet long.

“Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom” promises an array of attractions and surprises, including meet-and-greets with beloved Christmas characters, delectable seasonal treats, and picture-perfect moments at every turn.

Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay, spanning over 67 acres, offers a plethora of family-friendly entertainment options, including over 70 rides and attractions, making it Kentucky’s largest amusement and water park. Owned by Herschend and nestled in the heart of Louisville, the park boasts five world-class roller coasters, two giant wave pools, and an extensive selection of children’s rides at King Louie’s Playland.
