GCI and SeaWorld Reveal New Texas Stingray Coaster Train

Earlier this morning, media and industry leaders gathered around the Great Coasters International booth at the IAAPA Expo as the inventors and designers of SeaWorld’s ground-breaking roller coaster Texas Stingray revealed the ride’s first vehicle. Texas Stingray will make its much-anticipated debut at the park in Spring 2020.

Representatives from  both the American-based GCI and SeaWorld joined together to pull back a curtain, unveiling the vehicle. The Texas Stingray vehicle is part of an innovative project currently underway at the park. When Texas Stingray opens in the spring, it will be the “Texas’ Fastest, Longest, and Tallest W Roller Coaster”.

When the ride opens, it will break several records in the state:

  • Fastest – Top speed of 55 miles per hour
  • Longest – 3379 feet
  • Tallest – 100 feet
