New FootGolf Experience Rolls into Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World  is considered by many to be the “Happiest Place on Earth”, however, Disney’s latest addition may cause WDW to be called the “Happiest Place on TURF”! Walt Disney World Golf, operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, has combined the fast-paced nature of soccer with the excitement and precision of golf!

Disney is providing a unique FootGolf course to its Oak Trail golf course. FootGolf is like regular golf, but instead of clubs and golf balls, competitors have to kick soccer balls to a given hole.

Since 2011, FootGolf has grown immensely in popularity and is being played at approximately 500 courses in just about every state in America. The new course has been certified by American FootGolf League (AFGL), the governing body for the sport. It measures 2,438 yards in length with a variety of par 3, 4 and 5 holes to make an overall par score of 69.However, even though FootGolf can be played on this course, guests can still play traditional golf at this course. The traditional golf course holes will be marked by blue flags, while the FootGolf course will be marked by orange flags. And since this is still a golf course, running shoes and golf apparel are required.

The new 18-hole course offers a fun experience for amateurs and experts alike! FootGolf makes for a perfect family-friendly afternoon activity, and at Disney’s Oak Trail golf course guests are sure to experience the magic of the Walt Disney World Golf experience.

Guests can book tee times for FootGolf now. In a special promotion that runs through March 25, two guests can play for the price of one ($20) and that includes complimentary ball rental for both participants. After March 25, it’s $15 per person for Walt Disney World Resort guests and $20 per person for all others.
