Busch Gardens Williamsburg Celebrating National Roller Coaster Day with Exclusive Events, Tours, and Savings

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is gearing up to celebrate National Roller Coaster Day on Saturday, August 16, 2025, with a lineup of special experiences, exclusive access, and major savings for thrill-seekers.

From morning to midnight, the park will be buzzing with coaster action. Guests can take on all 11 of Busch Gardens’ world-class roller coasters, including the park’s newest family-friendly inverted coaster, The Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf’s Revenge. Other fan-favorites like Apollo’s Chariot, Pantheon, Griffon, Alpengeist, and Loch Ness Monster will be running all day, giving guests the perfect opportunity to collect a discounted ride photo at each for just $5.

For coaster enthusiasts wanting to go beyond the queue, Busch Gardens will offer the Ultimate Roller Coaster Insider Tour—a one-day-only experience that grants a behind-the-scenes look at the park’s most famous rides. Guests will get a lights-on tour of an indoor coaster, see the newest attraction up close, visit coaster control rooms and maintenance areas, and enjoy a Q&A session with the park’s Design & Engineering team. The experience also includes a commemorative event lanyard, priority Quick Queue access for all operating coasters, and a picnic lunch with Park President Kevin Lembke. Spots for this exclusive tour are limited and must be purchased online in advance.

As the sun sets, Busch Gardens Members can keep the thrills going with a Member-Exclusive After-Hours Event. From 10 p.m. to midnight, select coasters—including Apollo’s Chariot, Pantheon, and Tempesto—will run under the stars for a unique late-night ride experience.
