What You Can’t See Will Haunt You At Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt
What you can see will scare you, but what you can’t see will haunt you. That’s the theme Kings Island has used to create this year’s Halloween Haunt. Starting Friday, September 23, guests can face their fears in a veritable playground of terror featuring three live stage shows, three outdoor scare zones, eleven haunted mazes, and over 600 assorted clowns, ghouls, goblins, zombies, vampires, and werewolves.
This year, Field of Screams will be joining the ranks of some of our favorite mazes and scare zones. Trespassers beware! These farmers don’t take kindly to uninvited guests and if they catch you, you may end up being a permanent part of the field!
There are also some fan favorites return to Halloween Haunt this year! In Backwoods Bayou, the backwoods of Kings Island have come alive and the enchanted creatures are here to use their dark magic on anyone who dares to enter the Bayou. In Blackout, you’re forced to face their fear of the dark. Roll the dice in Board to Death and try your hand at some games designed by a mad scientist. The only catch is the games have come to life!
Head over to Planet Snoopy where the Circus came to town, but never left. After the circus tent collapsed, eliminating everyone inside, the spirits wander the grounds of CarnEvil trying to find a way out. Face off against zombies as you head over to Killmart to try supply shopping in a post-apocalyptic world. If you survive supply shopping, you can explore the long lost legend, Madame Fatale’s Wax Museum. Once a state of the art attraction, the secret of its fame lies deep within its walls. Some other mazes this year include Slaughter House, Sorority House, Urgent Scare, and Wolf Pack.
Cemetery Drive, one of three outdoor scare zones, is full of grim ghosts looking to terrorize after years of lying in wait. Meanwhile on Freak Street, a collection of creatures terrorizes the night. Nightmare Alley forces you face the darkness and the pure evil that lurks within. Just keep telling yourself it’s only a nightmare.
Guests can also enjoy live entertainment throughout the night. Blood Drums is a percussive blood bath of rhythm and music. In Hot Blooded, vampires take the stage in an explosion of rock ‘n’ roll in a after-life revue. Monster Rock will take you on a rock journey featuring the monster hits of Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Journey and other classis rock artists.
Gather your friends for Coffin Races on select nights throughout Halloween Haunt! One person rides in the coffin and four people push the coffin 300 feet to the finish lane. Winners get a Fright Lane with Skeleton Key and a chance to compete in the final competition for a 2017 Platinum Pass, an invitation to Mystic Timbers Media Day and $100 in cash!
Families can enjoy a fear-free Halloween during the day at The Great Pumpkin Festival. Kids can show off their Halloween Costumes at Lucy’s Holiday Fashion Show and Costume Contest, hang out with their favorite peanuts characters at the Peanuts Howling Halloween Party, dance with snoopy at the Great Dance Party, and watch Charlie Brown and his friends sing and dance to some spooky Halloween classics in Charlie Brown’s Spooktacular Show.
Tickets start as low as $30.99! For tickets and more information, visit the official Kings Island website by clicking here.
