Voodoo Doughnut Unveils New Exclusive Flavor at Universal Orlando
On Friday, June 1st , Voodoo Doughnut at Universal Orlando CityWalk Resort celebrated National Doughnut Day, and the start of summer, by unveiling an all-new doughnut!
Inspired by a summertime ice cream favorite, The Universal Orangesicle – which you can only get at Universal Orlando Resort – is covered in citrus frosting, topped with chocolate pearls and filled with Bavarian cream…and it’s even on a popsicle stick! And, best of all, it’s now available every day!
Each Voodoo Doughnut location has an exclusive doughnut that represents the city the venue is located in. To keep with the tradition, Universal’s culinary team took inspiration from the state of Florida, known for its orange groves and sunshine. They also added a popsicle stick to hold up the vibrant orange doughnut.
A raptor from Jurassic Park, a local resident at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, unexpectedly crashed the celebration. The prehistoric predator was first in line and chomping at the bit to take the first bite. Some brave guests even attempted feeding the cold-blooded hunter the sinfully delicious doughnut!
Of course, we had to try one! We don’t do reviews on our site, but wow wow wow! These are soooo good!
Voodoo Doughnut at Universal CityWalk is the first east coast location. Known for its bold, offbeat, and eclectic vibe, the Portland-based shop has an amazing lineup of more than 50 types of doughnuts including the classic Bacon Maple Bar, Grape Ape, and Voodoo Doll doughnut.
