Universal Orlando Increases Butterbeer Price Again
If you’re a fan of Universal Orlando’s famous Butterbeer, be prepared to dig deeper in your pockets next time you feel like wearing the Butterbeer stache.
Universal Orlando has once again increased the price for a cup of Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s signature Butterbeer beverages to $6.99.
Just a few days ago, Universal Orlando was charging $5.99 for a cup of cold Butterbeer (a vanilla soda with a butterscotch flavored whipped cream like topping), or a hot (latte-style) Butterbeer. Here’s what the drink menu at the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley looked like late last month:
The price hike only affected the cold and hot versions of the drink this time around. The frozen was already at $6.99. So, for the first time ever, all three varieties of Butterbeer are the same price.
This isn’t the first time we have seen the price go up, or the second, or the third… When Butterbeer debuted in 2010, it was only $2.99 a cup for the cold version. Prices have been climbing slowly ever since.
With admission tickets over $100 for a single-day admission, it’s becoming more and more unlikely that guests will throw down for a round of Butterbeers for their family. Lets hope this is the last price increase on our favorite theme park specialty drink.
What do you think of the price increase? Will you still buy Butterbeer now that it’s $6.99 a cup? Let us know in the comments below or on our socials!
