Guests will join the star of Big Hero 6 as you are whipped around to music and spun around and around. You will also find a new outer space themed shop next door selling many flavors of popcorn.

Beauty and the Beast Land

The biggest news coming out includes a whole new Beauty and The Beast themed area which will allow visitors to feel like they have just stepped into the film itself.

Although not much info was released on shops in the new area we expect that it may we may see LeFou’s Brew make its way to Japan via their own Gaston’s Tavern

Beauty and the Beast Darkride

Included in the announcement of the new Beauty and the Beast land is the addition of a brand new trackless technology darkride themed to the story of the Beauty and the Beast.

Guests board enchanted serving dishes that dance in rhythm to the film’s well-known music and follow Belle on a romantic musical adventure inside the enchanted Castle where she dances her way into the heart of the Beast, just in time to break the fateful spell. Guests will feel like they have entered right into the film.

Beauty and the Beast would be the 2nd trackless darkride for Tokyo Disneyland. Pooh’s Hunny Hunt also uses the technology and is still a huge hit even 16 years later.

Ride closures

With the additions coming in that means that several rides will have to be removed to make room for the new additions

The first attraction to close will be the Grand Circuit Raceway which opened with the park in 1983. Guests have until January 2017 to experience it.

StarJets is the second attraction that will permanently close. That will happen in the autumn-winter of 2017. StarJets also opened with the park in 1983.

Nothing was mentioned about the previously announced Scandinavia area for Tokyo DisneySea however we certainly hope that area is still in the plans and park officials didn’t just “Let it go”.

A Steampunk version of Soarin’ sounds pretty interesting to us. All in all this seems to be a more elaborate addition of Fantasyland opposed to Walt Disney World’s Fantasyland. Having a full size Beast castle sounds amazing! We can’t wait to go check it out!
