Six Flags Over Texas Celebrates the Return of Viva La Fiesta
Six Flags Over Texas is bringing the energy, color, and flavor of Latin America and the Caribbean to Arlington as Viva La Fiesta returns for its biggest celebration yet. From April 5 through May 4, guests can immerse themselves in a vibrant cultural experience filled with traditional music, dynamic dance performances, and authentic cuisine—all set against the backdrop of the park’s iconic attractions.
Held on Saturdays and Sundays, Viva La Fiesta kicks off each day with a spirited Looney Tunes dance party, inviting families to start their visit on a festive note with singing and dancing alongside beloved characters. Throughout the day, the celebration continues with cultural entertainment rooted in Latin American traditions.
The Mexico-themed area of the park comes alive with the sounds of Mariachi Bohemio, Fort Worth’s renowned mariachi ensemble, and the graceful movements of Ballet Folklórico. Adding a modern twist, Chicana DJ Virah keeps the beats going with her signature Latin-inspired mixes.
A special highlight awaits visitors during the weekend of April 12-13, when international dance company Rumbamena takes the stage with electrifying salsa and samba performances. Guests can also catch the rhythmic fusion of Latin-jazz from Manteca Blue & The Latin Corner during this exclusive weekend engagement.
Food plays a central role in the celebration, with La Cantina unveiling an all-new menu inspired by Latin street fare. Guests can enjoy savory tortas filled with shredded beef or crispy chicken, served alongside Spanish rice, pinto beans, and colorful tricolor chips with roasted salsa. Festival-exclusive treats like roasted elotes, crispy tostones with creamy salsa, and specialty churros add an extra layer of flavor to the festivities. To complement the culinary offerings, handcrafted cocktails and tropical mocktails bursting with mango, coconut, and pineapple offer refreshing sips between rides.
