Silver Dollar City Announces Reopening Date

After delaying opening day for the COVID-19 Pandemic, Silver Dollar City has finally announced a reopening date.

Season ticket holders will get first access to the park beginning Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14. The park will then welcome all guests on Monday, June 15.

Silver Dollar City will operate with numerous precautions in place to comply with appropriate health and safety guidelines:

  • Park will limit daily capacity, in order to comply with social distancing guidelines.
  • Guests must reserve the date they wish to visit via Silver Dollar City’s website or on the park’s app.
  • All guests and employees will go through touch-less temperature scans prior to entering the park.
  • All guests above the age of 3 will be required to wear a mask.
  • Additional safety information is listed on the park’s website.

“Creating memories worth repeating is our mission,” said Brad Thomas, President and General Manager of Silver Dollar City. “Families are facing many challenges today, and we are excited to welcome them to create new and exciting memories. We’ve spent months planning and preparing to open within the health and safety guidance from our industry and governmental experts. We encourage our guests to read through changes we have made as they make plans for their visit.”

The new Mystic River Falls river raft ride is still set to debut later this summer — featuring the world’s first 82′, four platform vertical lift, 45′ drop chute, 1/2 mile river rapids journey with hairpin turns, high tides, whitewater and more!

Additionally, Silver Dollar City’s White Water waterpark will also be reopening with similar precautions in place. The water park will reopen for season pass holders on June 15th and 16th, and then for all guests on Wednesday, June 17th.

Showboat Branson Belle will open Saturday, June 20th. Walk-up purchases are permitted, but reservations are highly encouraged. Showboat Branson Belle will also follow guidelines that includes a contact-less temperature scan prior to entry, reduced seating capacity, and a requirement to wear a face covering except while eating.
