SeaWorld San Antonio Opens New Barracuda Strike Roller Coaster
SeaWorld San Antonio is making waves with the grand opening of Barracuda Strike, the park’s newest attraction and the tallest inverted family coaster in North America. The highly anticipated ride officially opened to guests today, delivering a soaring new experience designed to bring high speed thrills to riders of all ages.

Barracuda Strike suspends riders beneath more than 1,800 feet of track, sending them on a smooth and exhilarating journey filled with tight turns, swooping dives, and dramatic views across the park. The adventure begins with a 90 foot lift hill before plunging riders into a twisting layout that reaches speeds of up to 44 miles per hour. As the train glides above the park’s iconic waterski lake, the ride creates a sensation of flight inspired by the swift and agile movements of its ocean predator namesake.

Despite its dynamic layout and impressive scale, Barracuda Strike was designed as a true family thrill coaster. With a minimum height requirement of just 42 inches, the attraction offers an approachable gateway coaster for younger riders and families looking to take on their first major thrill together.
