SeaWorld Orlando Unleashes New Horrors at Howl-O-Scream 2024
As the nights grow longer and shadows stretch ever thinner, SeaWorld Orlando prepares to welcome the bravest souls to its highly anticipated Howl-O-Scream event.
This year’s spine-tingling spectacle promises an unparalleled experience of fear and fun, featuring four brand-new haunted houses, three never-before-seen scare zones, and two immersive bars designed to chill you to the bone.
Howl-O-Scream 2024 transports guests into a world where reality blurs under the light of the moon, and nightmares become a terrifying reality. This year’s event offers an adrenaline-pumping adventure that’s not for the faint-hearted.
Terrifying New Attractions Await
At the heart of the Howl-O-Scream experience are four fresh haunted houses designed to test your courage. Enter “The Ultimate Gamble,” a high-stakes casino where every bet could be your last, and escape is not guaranteed.
Next, venture into the haunted halls of the “Water’s Edge Wellness Center,” where serenity is a distant memory and the dead walk among the living. For those who dare, “Atlantis – Journey Below” beckons, inviting you to explore a sinister underwater city filled with foreboding whispers. Finally, retreat to the eerie confines of “Farm 51,” where the cornfields conceal horrors beyond imagination.
Adding to the terror are three new scare zones, each more chilling than the last. Wander into “Paradise Palms,” a once-idyllic roadside stop now steeped in horror. Survive this only to face the gruesome chaos of “Cannibal Harbor,” where ravenous mariners lie in wait. Lastly, the dark woods of “Seeds of the Coven” lure you into an ancient battle against witches’ curses and evil spirits.
Returning favorites include the fan-beloved haunted house, “D3LER1UM666 Laboratories,” and the well-known scare zones like “Blood Light District,” “Toxic Turmoil,” “Terrors of the Deep,” and “Carnevil Pier.”
Shows, Bars, and Thrills Galore
The terror doesn’t end with the haunted houses and scare zones. Guests can take a break from the scares at two new interactive bars, “Sacrificial Spirits” and “Space Gate 3,” where darkly themed cocktails and eerie eats await. Returning favorites like “Longshoremen Tavern” and “Tormented” also offer refuge and refreshment amid the frights.
For those seeking entertainment beyond the scares, Howl-O-Scream features the haunting “Siren’s Song” show and the pulse-pounding musical “Monster Stomp,” starring the infamous Jack the Ripper.

SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream runs from September 6 through November 2, 2024, with event hours from 7:00 PM to midnight. However, on Friday, September 13, the event will close slightly earlier, at 11:30 PM.
Daytime Family Friendly Event
While some parts of Howl-O-Scream are designed to be intense and scary, Halloween Spooktacular offers a more family-friendly experience during the earlier hours.
Packed with delightful surprises, festive costumes, and endless candy, this daytime event is perfect for families looking to celebrate the spooky season together.
Children will have a blast trick-or-treating along SeaWorld’s vibrant and whimsically decorated trail, where they’ll encounter a host of colorful characters along the way. Remember to bring or purchase a reusable bag for collecting all those sweet treats!
