Run and Ride Events Return to Carowinds in 2015 – New Medals

Carowinds is hosting year two of the Run and Ride series featuring some awesome running events and lots of air time on coasters!  With a half-marathon, 10k, 5k, and 1-mile fun run to choose from, there is something for everyone to try!

Runners will also be able to ride the all new Fury 305! Fury 325 fully embodies this same aggressive power that, like a furious hornet, just won’t let up. With heights reaching 325 feet, a staggering length of 6,602 feet and breathtaking speeds of 95 miles per hour, this 2,700-ton “hornet’s nest of rebellion” carries the same agility, bravery and passionate spirit of its hometown. The event series takes place Saturday, September 12th and Sunday September 13th. The half-marathon includes free park entry for the runners Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday for the event weekend. The 10K includes a one day pass for the event weekend. All event registrations include a shirt and also these cool medals for finishers!

Discounted park entry is included with all other distances. There is also discounted rates available if you want to bring your kids and or family along.
