RMC and Busch Gardens Reveal Iron Gwazi Train

This morning, media and industry leaders gathered around the Rocky Mountain Construction booth at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando as the inventors and designers of Busch Garden’s ground-breaking roller coaster Iron Gwazi, revealed the ride’s first vehicle. Iron Gwazi will make its much-anticipated debut at the park in Spring 2020.

Representatives from  both the American-based RMC and Busch Gardens joined together to pull back a curtain, unveiling the vehicle. The Iron Gwazi vehicle is part of an innovative project currently underway at Busch Gardens Tampa. When Iron Gwazi opens in the spring, it will be the “World’s Fastest, Steepest and Tallest Hybrid Roller Coaster”.

The vehicle, which is the first of six cars that will be positioned on each of two trains, resembles a crocodile.

  • Fastest – Top speed of 76 miles per hour
  • Steepest – A 20-story, 91-degree vertical drop
  • Tallest – 206 feet
