New Owner of Conneaut Lake Park Set To Make Rapid Changes
The auction of Conneaut Lake Park in Pennsylvania went just as many in the coaster community expected, with Keldon Holdings LLC purchasing the park for $1.2 million. We were surprised to see numerous buildings marked for demolition just days after the purchase. Some started worrying that the park was going to be demolished, mistaking the demolition of a few buildings for the demolition of the entire park.

That assumption led the park to release the following statement over social media:
An update from the new owners:
We are excited to embark on this new adventure and we look forward to serving the community by revitalizing this historical landmark! The following is an overview of our plans for Conneaut Lake Park:
1) General Cleanup and demo of all structurally unsound wood/buildings
2) architectural drawings for rebuilding The Beach Club are underway
3) Camperland cleanup and expansion plans are underway
4) Beach expansion/cleanup/improvements are underway
5) Planning for waterpark and kiddie land improvements are in the works
6) Planning for new rides, entertainment, etc is underway
Many of the improvements that we plan on bringing to the park will happen slowly over the course of the next few years, as things get back to normal and the dark days of Covid continue to fade into the background. Our primary goal this year is to clean up the park, demo everything that is unsafe and open safely on Memorial Day weekend. We plan on doing some fundraising events in the ballroom and some fun outdoor events…car shows, concerts, seasonal activities, etc. We are still working out the details, but will keep everyone updated as things progress. Thank you all for your inquiries, comments, and support. We value your opinions, and appreciate all of your input. Looking forward to a great summer!

Conneaut Lake Park has gone through numerous owners over the last few decades. The park seemed to be in a good position, until their finances were decimated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Keldon Holdings LLC offered to buy the park, so the park was offered for sale through an auction, as legally required. Keldon Holdings has repeatedly stated their intentions of rebuilding and investing in the park.
