New Little Mermaid Show Coming To Disney’s Hollywood Studios
In the wake of the 2020 park closures, Disney’s Hollywood Studios left the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show in a state of dormancy. Anticipation among Disney fans grew as they eagerly awaited news of the show’s revival or a completely new spectacle. The long-awaited revelation has arrived!
Introducing “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” a fully reimagined theatrical production inspired by the classic “The Little Mermaid” from Walt Disney Animation Studios. Scheduled to debut in the refreshed Animation Courtyard theater in fall 2024, the show marks a significant addition to Disney’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the Parks experience.
Disney Live Entertainment, in its pursuit of elevating the beloved narrative of Ariel’s journey into the human world, promises a spectacle featuring striking new set pieces, cutting-edge effects, and a bold design that encapsulates Ariel’s unique perspective on the world. Similar to its predecessor, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, the production will incorporate a mix of live actors and puppets in select scenes.
“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” guarantees an enchanting experience for guests, who can anticipate musical numbers inspired by the film, including favorites like “Part of Your World” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls.” Concept artwork shown above offers a glimpse into the all-new “Kiss the Girl” scene, a magical addition to this fresh and captivating production.
