LEGOLAND Florida Resort Unveils New LEGO Ferrari Build and Race Attraction

LEGOLAND Florida Resort kicked off the spring break travel season today with the grand opening of its latest attraction, LEGO Ferrari Build and Race. The interactive experience allows guests to construct race cars entirely from LEGO bricks and test them using advanced digital technology and real-life racing scenarios.

Managed by Rex Jackson, Managing Director of LEGOLAND Parks, North America, the attraction offers a unique opportunity for visitors to indulge in the thrill of building and racing their LEGO Ferrari-themed cars. Jackson expressed excitement about the attraction, highlighting its celebration of Ferrari and F1 racing while encouraging creativity and imagination.

Central to the attraction is the world’s only life-size LEGO Ferrari 296 GTS model, meticulously crafted with over 424,000 LEGO elements. Taking 1,850 hours to complete, the model, standing at 15 feet long, 7 1/2 feet wide, and 4 feet tall, weighs nearly two tons. With functioning headlights, an open driver’s side door, and a roaring engine, it serves as the centerpiece of the attraction’s “garage.”

To mark the occasion, LEGOLAND Florida Resort is distributing commemorative checkered flags to the first 5,000 visitors to the experience. Additionally, an exclusive ticket offer is available, allowing children aged 2-12 to enter the park for just $29 when accompanied by an adult ticket purchase.
