Kennywood Holiday Lights Returns with New Entertainment, New Attractions, and New Seasonal Treats

Kennywood’s Holiday Lights has returned for its most spectacular season yet, offering guests a festive blend of new experiences and classic holiday favorites.

This year’s event promises to be the park’s largest holiday celebration to date, with an expanded entertainment lineup, new character meet-and-greets, a wider array of seasonal treats, and over three million dazzling lights illuminating the park.

Guests can look forward to exciting new attractions, including a holiday walkthrough featuring Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and his friends Clarice, Bumble, and Sam the Snowman. Santa himself will also make appearances in a reimagined meet-and-greet experience in Lost Kennywood, providing a magical backdrop for family photos.

New shows like the Spirit of the Season and Holiday Reflections Light Show are set to enhance the holiday spirit with enchanting performances and dazzling visual displays, while returning favorites such as the Nightly Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Massive Model Train Display continue to charm visitors of all ages.

This year, Kennywood’s Holiday Lights is bringing even more thrill to the season with an expanded selection of rides, including several making their debut in the holiday lineup. The Racer, a classic wooden coaster beloved by fans, will be opening for Holiday Lights for the first time, adding an extra dash of excitement for roller coaster enthusiasts.

Joining the Racer are the Musik Express and Wave Swinger, also lighting up the park with holiday cheer for the first time this year. Returning fan-favorites include The Turkey (Christmas Dinner) and classic turkey legs, joined by new indulgences like peppermint shakes, mini donuts, and an expanded selection of fried s’mores. Dinner with Santa’s all-you-can-eat Christmas feast buffet is also available select days through Dec. 23. A FREE family photo with Santa is included with the experience, but reserve early as spots do sell out.

For the first time, the Golden Nugget will open for Holiday Lights, serving its popular seasonal treats despite the cooler weather, while Jeeters’ Pub will keep guests cozy with hot toddies and spiked hot chocolate. The Kandy Kaleidoscope will round out the offerings with homemade fudge and Christmas-themed confections.

Beyond the shows and treats, guests can enjoy activities like crafting holiday memories at the Bear Factory, sending letters to the North Pole, or dancing at Parker’s Dance Party. The park will also feature live performances by local choirs and a strolling holiday band, bringing festive sounds to every corner of the park.
