Jardin d’Acclimatation Adding New Gerstlauer Coaster And More
The classic Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris, France has descided to undergo a renovation. Along with new steampunk themes spread throughout the park, two new rides are also being added — Speed Rockets and L’astrolabe.
The Speed Rockets coaster is a custom design of the Gerstlauer Bobsled wild mouse coasters. The ride will stand 36.1 feet tall, have a course of over 1312 feet, and reach speeds in excess of 27 miles per hour. Each ride on the Speed Rockets will cost two tickets ($6.80) and lasts 3 minutes. When the new coaster opens, it’ll be the fifth coaster at the historic gardens.
Also new this summer is L’astrolabe. This new ride will take 24 riders on a dizzying, thrilling journey. Like Speed Rockets, L’astrolabe is also draped in a steampunk overlay.
