Interactive Wands Revealed in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade
Universal Orlando has rolled out a series of interactive wands that guests will be able to purchase once in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! The new interactive wands have been revealed for Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade!

The new interactive experience was built into Diagon Alley while it was constructed, however, it was not built into Hogsmeade before it opened several years ago. Universal Orlando has been working hard to add interactive elements to Hogsmeade, which will soon be ready for guests to interact with.

Ollivanders wand shops will sell the new wands and provide a map showing the locations where the wands work. The new interactive wand map shows Hogsmeade on one side of the map and shows Diagon Alley on the other side and instructs guests on how to use their new wands.

Bronze medallions in the streets indicate locations where the wands work. Many of the previously animated features in Hogsmeade have now been converted to only move when triggered by wands.
Aside from the standard interactive wands, guests will also be able to purchase interactive Harry, Hermione, or Dumbledore’s wands within Diagon Alley. The interactive wand map is available for guests who purchase an interactive wand at either Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley. The new interactive wands are being sold inside Hogsmeade for about $35 to $45 depending on which wand you purchase.
While stars from the Harry Potter films were in Orlando for the Diagon Alley Preview, they tested out the amazing new features. The video below shows the wands in action!
