Hersheypark Halloween Daytime Event and Dark Nights Return with New Haunts and Thrills for 2024

Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights have returned bigger and scarier than ever before, delivering a spine-chilling season.

Hersheypark’s Halloween events are now in full swing, running through November 3, 2024. Guests can enjoy an expanded lineup of haunted houses, scare zones, and exclusive events. The eight-week celebration offers thrills for all ages, with more dates and terrifying fun than ever before.

This year, Hersheypark offers five immersive haunted houses, including the all-new “Estate of Evil,” and three scare zones featuring the new Darkstone’s Hollow: Battle for Spring Creek. There’s over 50 rides and dark coaster experiences, trick-or-treating, themed food and drinks, live entertainment, and much more — all included with a Hersheypark Halloween ticket.

Dark Nights: A Terrifying Experience After Dark

Starting each night at 6pm, Dark Nights at Hersheypark takes visitors into a world of horror with five haunted houses, each offering fresh and even more terrifying stories. The newest addition, Estate of Evil, invites guests into a haunted mansion, where they can explore 13 rooms meticulously preserved by a ghostly waitstaff—if they dare.

Returning by popular demand is Auntie Mortem’s Abattoir, where family secrets come to life in the Mortem family’s meat-processing business. Other haunted houses include Haunted Coal Mine: Curse of the Tommyknockers, The Descent: Catacombs of Decay, and Twisted Carnevil.

The thrills continue on the midways with three sinister scare zones, including the newly introduced Darkstone’s Hollow: Battle for Spring Creek, where creatures once held captive by Darkstone fight to reclaim their territory.

The Midway of Misery and the eerie Fallout Zone have also returned, transforming Hersheypark’s walkways into nightmare-fueled battlegrounds filled with creatures lurking around every corner.

Hersheypark Halloween: Fun for Families and Thrill Seekers

During the day, families can enjoy Hersheypark Halloween with over 50 rides and attractions, including “dark rides” on select coasters like Wildcat’s Revenge and Laff Trakk.

A unique Avenue of the Afterlife scare-free zone has been introduced, offering a monster-free space with themed food, drink, live entertainment, and retail offerings.

Children 12 and under can partake in Hershey’s Trick-or-Treat Trail, collecting sweet treats from 13 stops throughout the park.

The path winds from “Hershey’s Chocolate World” with three locations to “The Boardwalk At Hersheypark” region with 10 stops in “Treatville”, providing a safe and fun environment for young visitors. It’s worth noting that you do not have to travel into the Dark Nights areas to access the kids areas. This is very convenient for parents with children that are afraid.

For kids wanting to experience Dark Nights but don’t want to be scared by actors, No Boo Necklaces are available for purchase in various gift shops around the park.

Creatures of the Night at ZooAmerica

For those wanting to explore the nocturnal side of nature, ZooAmerica offers Creatures of the Night flashlight tours.

Available on select nights from October 11 to 27, visitors can see fascinating animal activity that only happens after dark. This popular attraction is included with a Hersheypark Halloween admission ticket, making it a must-see for guests of all ages.
