Haunted Zombie Ferris Wheel Debuts In Osaka Japan
If haunted drive-thru attractions aren’t terrifying enough, Japan’s tallest ferris wheel, known as ‘The Osaka Wheel’ (403.5-ft) , has been given a special Halloween overlay. The ride has been temporarily re-branded as the “Zombie Ferris Wheel in Hell”.

Each ride starts with six guests entering a cabin that is entirely closed in with wrap around screens from which zombies appear. To make things more terrifying, the operator informs each party of the mysterious happenings of the wheel and provides each guest with headphones that are required to ride. According to legend, wishes made on the wheel become reality.

The 18 minute ride to hell includes projections, stereophonic sound, vibrating floors and even zombies! The ride is programmed with both a “good” and “bad” ending – but the outcome of the “true end” or “bad end,” depends on some choices guests make throughout the ride.
“If you chant the mystic words while riding the Ferris wheel, your wish will come true…
Hoping to have her wish granted, a young lady stepped aboard the Ferris wheel. After getting into an argument, she’d become estranged from her parents, but now wanted to find them. So she, along with her best friend, sat in the Ferris wheel clutching her memento broach, as their gondola slowly climbed towards the highest point.
Was her wish granted? The sky turned an unsettling shade of purple. The gondola was enveloped in inky shadows. A howl rang out.
Just what is this place…”
If you plan to visit, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as only four gondolas are open for this unique experience. Zom-beer and non-alcoholic Zombie Drinks (blackcurrant soda) are available as well.
The experience costs 1500 yen, which equates to $14.16 USD and runs through September 30. For tickets and more information, visit the Zombie Ferris Wheel in Hell website here.
