Fun Spot Reveals Name of New Coaster

Fun Spot is adding another coaster to its Kissimmee park, and it finally has a name!

The new steel roller coaster being constructed by E&F Miller Industries at Fun Spot Kissimmee will be called “Hurricane,” the company revealed earlier today.

Last month, Fun Spot held a contest and asked fans to submit family-friendly Florida themed names for the new coaster. The winner of the contest, Savannah K. Submitted the winning name, Hurricane. She will receive two season passes and a chance to be one of the first to ride it.

Once complete, Hurricane will be more than five stories tall and feature a triple out and back layout of more than 1,300 feet. Each coaster train will be able to hold up to six people.

Fun Spot, which also operates a similar coaster at their Atlanta park, has not yet set a date of when the new coaster will open.
