Concept Art for Two New Record Breaking Roller Coasters
The new “PoleRcoaster style” coasters will debut in Southern Georgia, Orlando and later Las Vegas. Florida’s “Skyscraper” will be billed as the “world’s tallest roller coaster”. The all new coaster concept by US Thrill Rides was unveiled last year at IAAPA, and has had three installations announced. The ride manufacturer has released some concept art of all the new concepts which gives a great look at what to expect.

The first image is a look at the concept art for the record breaking “Skyscraper” opening in 2016 as the “worlds tallest coaster”. The new 570 foot tall roller coaster will debut on International Drive in Orlando, FL at the new “Skyscraper Skyplex“. On a nearly 1-mile-long track, each eight-passenger vehicle will reach speeds up to 65 mph, with a coaster capacity of 1,000 people per hour. Riders can expect loops, spirals AND the world’s tallest inversion! Once the coaster car reaches maximum height it will invert before descending down the first drop!

The concept art shows not only the tower of the record breaking coaster, but also how the track will twist through some of the buildings and travel close to the automobiles traveling on i-drive. There has been rumors of the coaster cars traveling very close to pedestrians, but this shows a better idea of how the designers will make it work.
If you’re not into roller coasters, a 55-story glass elevator will whisk guests away to an observation deck, complete with a fine dining restaurant.

The next image is for the all new “White-Knuckler” PoleRcoaster at LakePoint’s Boomtown, featuring the LakePoint Lookout Tower. The coaster will be the centerpiece of an all new sporting and entertainment complex in Southern Georgia. The coaster will be 325 feet tall, and will open in Fall of 2016.

Located in Emerson, Georgia, north of Atlanta, LakePoint Sporting Community is a 1,400+ acre development under construction that will feature state-of-the-art venues for 29 of America’s favorite youth sports and 5 million square feet of mixed-use development. Along with sports, LakePoint will include approximately 29 on-site hotels, restaurants, retail shops, office space and several other entertainment venues. The Polercoaster is amazing double engineering marvel that will provide visitors an opportunity to ride one of the tallest and most thrilling roller coasters in the world, as well as visit the observation tower with retail, a restaurant bar, and an observation area at the top.
A third installation was reported by ABC News in June for the Las Vegas Strip, standing at a record breaking 650 feet tall!
