Carowinds Expands Camp Snoopy with Exciting New Attractions for 2025

Carowinds is set to elevate family entertainment in 2025 with a historic expansion of Camp Snoopy, introducing two major new attractions: a family launch roller coaster and an interactive raft ride.

These additions mark the largest investment in family attractions in the park’s history, transforming Camp Snoopy into an even more dynamic and engaging destination for visitors of all ages.

The first of the new attractions, Snoopy’s Racing Railway, is a family-friendly steel launch coaster that promises to deliver high-speed fun. Guests will join Snoopy on a mission to deliver root beer and pizza to Camp Snoopy’s Mess Hall, where Woodstock and his mischievous yellow bird friends are causing a delightful commotion.

This coaster launches riders from 0 to 31 mph in just seconds, featuring thrilling dips and twists as they race through the course not once, but twice, ensuring the delivery arrives safely.

RIDE SPECIFICATIONS:

Snoopy’s Racing Railway features 1 train with one pilot car and 6 coaches, accommodating 2 riders across a single row; 14 riders.

As a launch coaster, it will accelerate from zero to 31 mph in a matter of seconds before zipping through the 804 foot-long track course.

Snoopy’s Racing Railway will be the park’s 15th roller coaster and 3rd roller coaster in Camp Snoopy.

The second new attraction, Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast, offers families a splashing good time. Up to eight passengers can climb aboard a raft at Snoopy’s swimming hole for an interactive water adventure.

Equipped with water cannons, both on-board and onshore, riders can engage in playful water battles with other boats as they navigate the river channel. Along the way, they’ll encounter beloved Peanuts characters who are ready to drench them in fun.

Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast features 7 boats total. 5 boats will accommodate 8 riders per boat. 2 boats are wheelchair accessible and will accommodate 7 riders.

The boat ride duration is 4 minutes and 39 seconds, has a maximum speed of 1.34 mph, and a total ride length of 415 feet.

Water blasters are interactive and have an adjustable water spray amount; blasts as far as 33 feet.

Water blasters will be available both on-board the boats and on-land.

In addition to the new rides, Camp Snoopy will introduce Splash Play Zones, where families can cool off and enjoy refreshing water features under shaded areas, making it the ideal spot to relax on a hot Carolina summer day.

The newly remodeled Camp Store will offer an interactive, camp-themed meet-and-greet experience with Peanuts costume characters. Visitors can snap photos and enjoy memorable interactions in a cozy, air-conditioned environment, complete with rustic log benches around a firepit.
