Busch Gardens Williamsburg Celebrates 15 Years of Christmas Town with New Attractions and Returning Favorites
This holiday season, Busch Gardens Williamsburg is lighting up the night with over ten million twinkling lights, marking 15 years of Christmas Town.
The park’s annual winter celebration will return on select dates from November 15 through January 5, 2025. Known for one of North America’s largest holiday light displays, Christmas Town promises an unforgettable experience, featuring over 25 rides and coasters, seasonal treats, and cherished shows that spread the spirit of the season.

This year’s festivities will see the Christmas Town debut of Loch Ness Monster: The Legend Lives On, offering an all-new twist on the iconic coaster.

Visitors can also experience classic attractions like Santa’s Workshop and the beloved Christmas Town Express. The holiday magic continues with ‘Twas That kNight, a signature ice-skating show that reimagines the timeless tale of The Night Before Christmas at the Royal Palace Theatre.

Park President Kevin Lembke expressed excitement about this year’s event, highlighting its growth over the last decade and a half. “For 15 years, Christmas Town has transformed Busch Gardens into a one-of-a-kind seasonal experience,” said Lembke. “This event has grown to be one of the largest in North America and has become a tradition for families to enjoy together each year.”
Amid the glow of millions of lights, families can savor seasonal treats like deep-dish cookies and flavored hot chocolates, exclusive to Christmas Town.

Holiday shopping, photo opportunities, and special dining experiences complete the festive tradition. One notable highlight is Santa’s Fireside Feast. This fan-favorite experience invites families to enjoy a hearty meal and a holiday story from Santa himself, hosted on select dates in the park’s Killarney area. Advance reservations are recommended and can be made through Busch Gardens’ official website.

Guests can immerse themselves in the magic of the season with a variety of heartwarming shows. Returning performances include Gloria!, a contemporary retelling of the first Christmas that blends traditional and modern music, and Up on the Haustop, a celebration of modern-day Christmas classics held at Das Festhaus.

At the open-air Il Teatro di San Marco Theatre, Wisemen features three musicians sharing their favorite holiday traditions through inspiring ballads. And for those seeking a theatrical twist, the musical Scrooge No More returns to the Globe Theatre, bringing the classic Dickens tale to life as Scrooge learns the value of togetherness during the holiday season.

With over a decade of festive celebrations behind it, Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg continues to set the stage for a memorable holiday tradition for families and friends alike.
