Adventureland Teases Removal of Dragon Coaster

Adventureland Park located in Altoona Iowa, has officially teased the removal of the Dragon roller coaster through a cryptic Facebook image — which consisted of a knight slaying a Dragon. As crews were already seen on-site dismantling Dragon, this image could be hint that a new coaster will be replacing it.

Along with the image, a caption includes the phrase “Coming in 2021…..“. The park has not yet officially announced what is being added for 2021.

Dragon is a 90 ft tall Hopkins multiloop roller coaster that opened in 1990. The ride is 2,250 feet long and features two loops.
